Danilo Diez

Engineer, would-be philosopher, product builder, hopelessly curious.

Mate drinker 🧉. Reader 📚. Hacker 💻. I live in Posadas, Misiones, a city on the edge of the map, where Argentina meets Brazil and Paraguay. I work at Webflow building web and AI products. Outside of work, I co-founded Cool Studio together with two friends, and I spend time on my own projects like SalvaPatas.

Labels are hard for me. I'm an engineer, but I think a lot about the art behind everything. I care about products, and also about philosophy and the history of thought. I'm driven to create — from complex systems to elaborate dishes for people I love.

A bit of history

I was born and raised in Saladas, Corrientes, a town of 20,000 where the passions that move me today were cultivated. Books, film, breaking computers and loving nature. I studied systems engineering because I like understanding how complex systems work. Along the way I discovered that what interested me most was the power to create what was in my imagination — and if I could do it with friends, even better.

I'm studying for a degree in Philosophy. I arrived a little later, through the back door. Although I had a lot of influence from an early age — my dad, a philosophy teacher, and my mom cultivated my love of reading. What really pushed me to study it was working so closely with language models. I want to understand all I can about the human mind, consciousness, and what makes us fundamentally different from this new paradigm of existence.

Aside from that, I graduated as a chef, I write, I play guitar, I play basketball and padel, and I love getting lost in the mountains so I can find myself. I can also talk about film for hours.

This site is my digital garden. A place where I can lay out ideas, projects and things that feed my curiosity. Perfection is the enemy of progress.
